GA Committee

Mission
To serve as a recommending body to the Executive Committee and Board of Directors for policy development and action on the Government Affairs Issues of either local, state or national impact to the building industry.
Composition
Any member of the Tampa Bay Builders Association is eligible for membership to the GA Committee. Regular attendance at the meetings, including special meetings to address critical issues is expected to maintain knowledge on issues.
Meetings
The Government Affairs Committee meets monthly. Written notice of such meetings will be provided in advance of the meeting to the committee members and will be posted on the website, www.tbba.net/events. The first meeting of the year is a working meeting of the committee where the new leadership of the committee will express their goals for the year and discuss the legislative agenda for the next year. Other meetings will feature a speaker. These guests include elected officials and appointed officials invited to discuss issues important to the industry. These meetings are a valuable opportunity for members to develop relationships with those who regulate the industry, gain perspective and provide the guest with information that will be helpful in their decision making process. Additional meetings may be necessary to ensure discussion on issues takes place. Contact Jennifer Doerfel to learn more.
