Rebuilding Together Tampa Bay is a leading affiliate of a nationwide not for profit organization which builds affordable housing and rehabilitates homes throughout the Tampa Bay region. The organization seeks an individual experienced in construction to assist the department. We are looking for an organized, dependable person with strong management, scheduling and expediting skills.
Construction department support duties:
Responsible for creating, maintaining, and managing job scheduling (subcontractors, consultants, and vendors to ensure timely completion)
Conduct meetings when necessary with inspectors, utility companies and subcontractors
Coordinate required inspections with local jurisdictions
Identify conflicts in construction progress and communicate them to project team for resolution
Assist in permit process and any obstacles
Communicating with construction team daily on progress and any changes of job sites
Order materials necessary for sub-contractors
Work closely with accounting department to ensure we are staying within allotted budget for each project
Oversee all aspects of residential construction from planning through completion and occupancy closing
Perform other duties and other responsibilities as required
Qualifications:
Critical problem-solving, decision-making, negotiation, and conflict management skills
Strong computer skills, ability to operate Microsoft Office applications
Prior experience in project management
Mon-Friday – 9am through 5pm
