    Reports to:
    Construction Site Foreman
     
    Summary/Objective:
    The New Construction Apprentice is responsible for specific construction tasks and projects with the intention to learn and grow in the knowledge and skills that are required to be a Construction Site Foreman.  The New Construction Apprentice will manage projects independently and support and work on the homes of the Site Foreman they are assigned to assist.  This is an exciting opportunity to be a part of a leading nonprofit organization in the field of housing affordability.

    • Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail. 
     
    Work Environment:
    The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an associate encounters while performing the essential functions of this job in on a construction site.  This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, tablets, filing cabinets, and fax machines.
     
    Physical Demands:
    The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an associate to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.  While performing the duties of this job, the associate perform the following activities: standing; walking; working weekends as needed; exposure to heat, wind, and rain; climbing ladder.  Ability to lift up to 75 pounds.
     
    Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:
    This is a full-time non-exempt position.  The typical workweek is Tuesday - Saturday with some evenings and weekends as needed.
     
     
     
     
     
     
     
     
    Education, Experience and Attributes:
    • Desire to work towards Habitat’s mission.
    • High School Diploma or equivalent.
    • Valid driver’s license required.
