    We are a Veteran family-owned, full-line steel service center that has been in business in the Tampa Bay Area since 1983. We are looking for an Energetic Inside Salesperson to join our team. A successful candidate will have experience working in a counter sales environment utilizing ERP software to create and process orders and quotes and have a successful track record of delivering a positive customer experience. Previous experience in the metal supply, ornamental iron, and/or building products industries is favored, but not mandatory.

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities
    § Answer and direct in-coming calls in a friendly, professional manner.
    § Pro-actively make outbound sales calls to existing and prospective customers.
    § Welcome and direct showroom customers in a friendly, professional manner.
    § Collect and input customer purchase orders into company ERP.
    § Provide work order tickets to the Warehouse Operations team for processing, as well as input to assure completion of time-sensitive issues.
    § Respond to customers’ needs by providing timely feedback on all sales orders and pricing quotes.
    § Pro-actively generates new business opportunities, through ones own initiative and where necessary with the support and direction of management.
    § Manage the sales process from initial opportunity through to the securing of the customer purchase order and ensure successful service and delivery.
    § Accountability in creating value for the customer and profit for TSS in delivering that value.
    § Has good knowledge of competitors pricing and services versus TSS.
    § Works individually and with management to improve service to customers.
    § Interpret company policies to workers and enforce safety regulations.
    § Other duties as assigned.
    § Communicate effectively both verbally and in writing with management, colleagues and individuals inside and outside the Company.
    § Exhibit a professional manner in dealing with others and work to maintain constructive working relationships.
    § Ability to utilize appropriate interpersonal styles and methods of communication to gain agreement or acceptance of an idea, plan, activity, product or service from customers.
    § Ability to deliver a consistent, accurate and up-to-date description of the services and products offered by the Company, while setting realistic expectations of the Company’s ability to deliver these products and/or services.
    § Basic skills in 10-key calculator, computer software and data entry.
    § Ability to multi-task and manage time in a productive manner.
    § Ability to follow and execute detailed instructions.
    § Ability to perform work involving written and numeric data and to make arithmetic calculations rapidly and accurately.
    § Ability to function effectively under heavy workload during peak periods and to meet strict deadlines on a continuing basis.
    § Strong Computer and MS Office skills including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
    § Involves sitting for extended periods.
    § Must complete work in a limited period and in limited space.
    Job Type: Full-time
    Salary: $13.00 to $15.00 /hour
